Let’s concentrate on the pose here for a second. The body language, the posture, stance — all of that is normal. That mouth, on the other hand, is posing hard. This is an office-friendly version of the “look back at it,” a facial expression most commonly found on the dance floor when the “uh oh, uh oh, uh oh, etc.” part of Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” comes on.
It is also the face sometimes given in response to a compliment. Throw in a strong head tilt, and you’ve got the “look back at it,” a silent acknowledgement that what you just said is sho’nuff true. An, “I know. This [outfit/dance move/whatever] is bad.” So obviously this pose was the result of me complimenting my friend and co-worker Ashley’s outfit. She knew it was bad.
